Changing Down – Kilauea Halema’uma’u Lava Lake

The changes to the erupting Kilauea volcano in 2018 are both unpredictable and full of color along with collapsing crater walls, explosions, earthquakes and lava fissures and flows. This song sings to all of that as well as some of its metaphors for all of us in life’s crazy adventures.

David Elias and Charlie Naztke created this composition at Slipperworld.net in La Honda, Calif. It is the work of the duo recording all tracks then mixed by Charlie and mastered by David. Hoy Hoy.

Changing Down – by David Elias

See my cup go flowing
See my cup go running over
See my cup go flowing down

See my colors changing
See my red go into white
See my colors changing down

More than this I can’t say how
Everything else changing
There’s still a light above your brow
Everything else changing down

See the rest I’m taking
Rest comes easy outside harm’s way
See the rest I’m taking down

See the walls they’re closing
Close to this I can’t say how
See the walls they’re closing down

More than this I can’t say how
Everything else changing
There’s still a light above your brow
Everything else changing down
